Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2
Join us for a Community Update Meeting
Metro is initiating a process that will allow the project to seek federal funding opportunities under the National Environmental Policy ACT (NEPA for the first phase of the 4.7 mile E Line extension to Greenwood Station in the City of Montebello. Metro invites you to attend a community update meeting for the first phase of the E Line extension. The information provided at these meetings will include a recap of the FINAL EIR certification, work conducted to date, information on the NEPA process, a Q&A session and next steps.
PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 project is an approximately 9-mile extension of the E Line further east from its current terminus at Pomona Blvd and Atlantic Blvd. in East Los Angeles. The Metro Board of Directors approved the certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) on May 23, 2024. The Board's approval finalizes the EIR for the two-phased project that will ultimately extend the E Line from its current terminus in East Los Angeles to the City of Whittier.
