POSTPONED: Dedication of Jose Ramos Post Office
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 & PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY CONCERNS
The Whittier Post Office will be dedicated as the Jose Ramos Post Office in a formal ceremony on March 18, 2020. Sergeant Jose Ramos, a Purple Heart honoree, was a tireless advocate for Vietnam veterans and helped to establish the Welcome Home Vietnam Day organization.
Congresswoman Sánchez introduced legislation to rename the Post Office after Jose Ramos and the bill was signed into Public Law on December 13, 2019.
